Braemar

Braemar Power Station (Braemar) is a newly constructed 507MW Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) power station located in southern Queensland. Braemar’s location is close to competing gas supply sources, being adjacent to the Queensland coal seam gas fields and connected to the Cooper Basin via the Ballera to Wallumbilla and Roma to Brisbane pipelines.

  • 10 year Gas Supply Agreement for the supply of coal seam methane gas by Queensland Gas Company Ltd (QGC); and
  • 10 year Revised Firm Gas Transport Agreement with APT Petroleum Pipelines Limited for the transportation of gas via the Roma to Brisbane pipeline to Braemar

Operations & Maintenance

O&M Contract with Alstom Power (the builder of the power station) that expires in 2008
