Babcock & Brown Power Management Pty Limited (BBPM), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Babcock & Brown group provides management services to both BBPS and BBPL under long term Management Agreements. In discharging its responsibility under the Management Agreements BBPM has drawn from the skills and resources of Babcock & Brown and has put together a cohesive, outcome-oriented management team for Babcock & Brown Power which combines strong financial market expertise with the operational experience to manage and oversee major capital assets effectively. Just as importantly, it is a team with the ability and experience to work with all key stakeholders, including customers, government, operators and our host communities to negotiate acceptable outcomes for all parties.

Ross Rolfe, Chief Executive Officer

Ross Rolfe joined Babcock & Brown as a senior executive in July 2007, his role being of a strategic nature with a primary focus on Infrastructure (predominantly in Energy and Transport). He is also a member of the Board of Infrastructure Australia; member of the National Board of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia and a Non-Executive Director of WDS. Prior to joining Babcock & Brown, Ross held a range of Chief Executive Officer positions in the Queensland Government, including the Director General of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, and in industry in Queensland, including CEO of Stanwell Corporation, one of Queensland’s largest energy generation companies. He was also the Co-ordinator General in Queensland – a position he held for six years. In this role Ross was responsible for the delivery of the South Queensland Regional Infrastructure Plan, the design and implementation of the Water Grid and the development of the Queensland Government’s Energy policies in 2000 and 2007. He is based in Sydney. 

Brian Green, Chief Operating Officer

Mr Green is the Chief Operating Officer of BBP. Mr Green joined Babcock & Brown in 2006. Prior to his appointment Mr Green was General Manager of Operations for NRG Australia and had responsibility for providing oversight and management of NRG's plant operations in Australia. Previously, Mr Green was the General Manager of Gladstone Power Station.

Mr Green has been involved in the electricity industry for more than 32 years, with the last 25 years specialising in the operation and maintenance of power stations and the management of employee relations. Mr Green has experience and qualifications in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Business.


Peter Brook, Chief Financial Officer

Mr Brook joined BBP as the Chief Financial Officer in October 2008. Prior to joining Babcock & Brown Power, Mr Brook held a number of senior executive roles with Challenger Financial Services Group Limited and was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Specialised Funds for the Challenger Group.

Mr Brook also previously held a number of senior executive roles with MLC Limited, including that of Group Financial Controller. Prior to this, Mr Brook was a lead insolvency partner and National Chairman on Insolvency for Grant Thornton.
